Amber received her Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Idaho in 1993 and considers herself a dyed in the wool Vandal. She joined Darrel and Kent one week after graduation and it has been an exciting ride ever since. Her responsibilities include all that is good and challenging in an architectural firm. Her love of any type of education and learning has led her to a very satisfying profession of educational facility design. The only thing that would surpass educational design work would be golf course design, but Jack Nicklaus won’t call her back.
Brook graduated with her Masters of Architecture degree and a Minor in Art from the University of Idaho in 2005 and joined LKV prior to her graduation ceremony. She loves the combination of problem solving and artistic freedom that Architecture presents as well as the diversity and has been excited to do what she loves. Brook is also a LEED Accredited Professional with an interest in sustainable design practices. When not at work she can be found chasing her kids around and training for impossible races.
Wayne’s interest in architecture goes all the way back to the third grade when he began drawing house plans as a hobby. Wayne graduated with a degree in architecture from Cal Poly and began his career working for firms in California and New Mexico. He also worked in the public sector for five years as City Urban Designer for the City of Santa Fe, New Mexico. Wayne has been with LKV Architects since 1990 specializing in public and private K-12 educational facilities and church projects. Wayne is a husband and father of four grown children. He and his wife are in the process of rehabilitating and renovating a 1920 two-room school house near Vale, Oregon.
Ron graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the University of Idaho in 2010 and completed his Masters of Architecture Program in 2012. His academic background also includes art, engineering. He takes pride in knowing a great deal about everything, but really nothing about one thing, which makes him an all right guy to have around for design, renderings, IT, construction administration, and even beers. In his spare time, if there is such a thing, Ron enjoys the outdoors and unraveling the very fabric of the space-time continuum.
Michael graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Drafting Technology from Boise State University and dove right into construction document production. He has been using AutoCAD for over 20 years and is able to solve just about any related issue you hand to him. Other responsibilities include construction document production and construction administration. His talent for computer drafting is only rivaled by his interest in Legos.
Greg started with LKV Architects in 2012 and settled right in as a vital part of the firm. His responsibilities include CAD drafting, construction document production and construction administration. Greg is detail oriented and enjoys figuring out the difficult aspects of a project. In his spare time, he enjoys fishing and woodworking.
Toby is a graduate of the University of Idaho, completing his degree of Masters of Architecture in 2006. He is a LEED Accredited Professional, proficient in managing all of the firms Revit challenges and is currently studying for his licensure exams. He enjoys project management and interacting with a diverse group of clients and agencies. On the weekends, he can be found in the foothills crashing his mountain bike or hiking with his family.
Connie provides various kinds of clerical support for staff. The majority of her duties are working with project managers on compiling specifications, project manuals, tracking bid document registers, maintaining vendor information and project archives. Outside of work, she spends as much time as she can outdoors with her children, grandchildren, and her dog Frances
Kathy is the Office manager here at LKV Architects. If it involves bookkeeping, payroll, human resources, or purchasing she is your go to person. Kathy is also in charge of buying the birthday cakes, so that makes her a pretty popular person around the office. When she isn’t keeping the office running you can bet she is in a bowling alley or on the golf course.
Now retired, Kent received his Bachelor of Architecture degree from Idaho State University in 1970 and became a registered architect in 1973. Kent devoted countless hours to LKV Architects over the years and now can be found exploring the great outdoors with his wife and dog or traveling to visit the grandkids.
Darrell graduated with his Architectural degree from Idaho State University in 1959. Darrell was a gifted artist and architect and loved to design, create and build many things. In 1963, at only 27 years old Darrell started his own architectural firm, and it is from this firm that LKV Architects was born, still going strong today.
