Collister Elementary

This project both added to and renovated the historic Collister Elementary School, which included an original 1912 building, a 1948 west addition and a 1953 east addition. The existing 1953 single-story addition was replaced with a new two-story addition. New and improved off-street parking, playground equipment and landscaping were incorporated into the design of the 40,500 square-foot building.

The remaining 1912 historic building is approximately 14,250 square-feet and was renovated with minor interior/exterior finishes, ADA restrooms, and time appropriate windows.

The building’s design and exterior materials and colors are intended to complement the existing historic structure by using CMU veneer, structural CMU, and a 3-coat stucco.
